MUD-meaning (Sar) originates from its heavy grape along with it’s WHITE (Feher) coloured juice.

The Gold Muddy White Variety was selected in 1873 by Szélesi József Izsáki vincellér a Kadarka

  orchard. Originally protected, Hungaricum vines are grown in the world only in Hungary, Izsák and its surroundings, with a current production area of about 150 hectares. The famous painter Csontváry Kostka Tivadar's brother, László Kostka, a pharmacist from Izsák who played and promoted this breed played a major role in the spread of the 19th century. century. Earlier it was also grown as a table grape. Gold Slays were exported to Germany. From the 1970's onwards, the main type of Izsák champagne production is excellent champagne.
